FABULOUS PRIZES TO BE HAD!


Sunday, August 31 from 4-6pm at the OG Pavillion

1.      Each person or team is allowed 1 entry. There is no fee to enter the competition, but contestants/teams must register by Saturday, August 23. Registration will be outside of the Store Aug 9, 16, and 23 (or see Michelle at Site 275).

2.    Each contestant must prepare a minimum of 6 quarts (standard crockpot size) or 100 2oz. samples.

3.    All ingredients must be pre-cooked before the event. Chili is to be brought ready to eat and will be kept warm in crockpot or similar vessel for food safety.

4.   Each chili must be labeled “meat” or “vegetarian,” and a list of ingredients must be available due to allergies and/or food sensitivities of testers.

5.    Contestants are responsible for supplying their own serving utensils and serving the chili during the event.

6.    Organizers will supply tables, entry numbers, ballots and pencils, sample cups, spoons and napkins for tasting.

7.    Cost to taste chili’s will be $10 per adult, $5 per child. 

8.    50% of the money raised will go to the back to the Events Committee to cover the costs of event; The other 50% will be split among the winners in amounts of 50% for 1st Place, 30% for 2nd Place, and 20% for 3rd Place (as we do in Halfie Halfie winnings).

9.    Hand Sanitizer and a small dish washing station will be available for both cooks and tasters.

10. Tasting begins at 4pm and ends at 6pm, and winners will be announced by 6:30pm at the Pavillion by the Events Committee.

11.    Set up will be at 3:30pm & clean-up will be immediately following the event. Contestants are responsible for cleaning up their own dishes and supplies.
